Usually you will get your first design draft within 3-5 business days from the day I begin your project. I will confirm the exact timeline with you via email. Each revision of your design usually takes another 2-4 business days, depending on the complexity of the work to be done. Once a design has been approved via email, I will likely complete the live install within a couple of days.
Note that all timelines are guesstimates at best, and ultimately, I will take whatever time is needed to provide you with a quality finished product. Due to the variable nature of blog/web design, delays
occasionally often happen and are never a reason for a refund.
Once I’ve started on your project, check your email frequently. You will need to respond in a timely manner (no more than 2 or 3 business days) or your design might be put on hold while I work on other projects. If this happens, other projects will take precedence and I may not resume your project for up to 3 weeks from the date you are ready to move forward.
Web Design Services
Unless you have made arrangements with me in advance and I have specifically included it within your quote, your project does not include the management of content. This includes but is not limited to any of the following: Posts, pages, navigation links, widgets, and categories/tags.
Drafts & Edits
Because I am paid per project rather than hourly in most cases, it is vitally important that you communicate a solid and concise vision for your design before placing your order. Two complimentary rounds of edits are included with your design: one for larger conceptual changes, and one for smaller tweaks such as coloring. Additional drafts and/or revisions will be billed at an hourly rate of $100.
If you send over several one-liner emails requesting changes, it’s very time-consuming to sort through and also makes it easy for me to miss something. For that reason, each of your two sets of revisions must be contained within one email each, so be sure to take some time and really assess your design before responding.
Edits requested on a particular aspect of your design that you have given prior approval on (or edits you did not specify when you were given the opportunity to make revisions) will be made at an hourly rate of $100.
Copyrights & Liability
You are welcome to edit any designs I create for you as you see fit, or hire another designer to do so. Upon request, I will release files to you upon completion of the project. Note that all files will be provided to you as-is.
By rendering my services, you guarantee that you either own or have permission from the rightful owner to use any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks or other artwork you provide to BonitaJohnson.com.
I cannot be held liable for the success of your blog or website, including but not limited to the sale of products/services and/or generating revenue.
Should you fail to comply by these terms, you will hold harmless, protect and defend BonitaJohnson.com from any resulting claim or suit.
Each of my designs are tested for cross-browser compatibility, meaning I ensure it will display properly in the most current versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari as of the date I install your new blog or web design live on your website. I cannot guarantee that your design will display properly in outdated or future versions of any web browser.
Your website will be designed to be responsive and optimized for mobile viewing. Responsive designs are tested on the most current versions of the iPhone and iPad operating systems, and are not guaranteed to display properly in outdated or future versions of any mobile device, operating system, or browser.
Your blog/web design is only guaranteed to display and function properly in the most current versions of WordPress and Genesis as of the date your blog/web design officially launches, and is not guaranteed to be compatible with future or outdated versions of WordPress or Genesis.
Content & Backups
I am not liable for any loss or damage to your blog or website content while installing your design, or any time before or after installation. To date, I have never lost or damaged a client’s content, but it can happen, and it is your responsibility to back up your website before and after the installation process.
I do not guarantee to have your design files backed up for any length of time. If for any reason your web or blog design is lost or damaged, I will fix or reinstall it for a fee if I have your files available.
Your privacy is very important to me. Often I will request your username and password to various accounts while working with you. This information will not be shared with anyone for any reason, and will only be used for the purpose of completing your project. You are welcome to temporarily change your password(s) while working with me.
Due to the nature of design work, I require that the price quote for your project be paid in two equal installments. 50% is due before the design process begins and the remaining balance is due when the project is completed. I have a no-refund policy, so please be certain you want this work completed before you make a payment.
Once I have started your project, if you fail to respond to emails and do not attempt to make any other form of contact for more than 90 consecutive days, all monies are forfeited to BonitaJohnson.com and I will terminate your project without notice. If you request to resume your project at any time in the future, it will be at my sole discretion and additional charges may apply.
