Setting up your wares to exhibit at a trade show can be a tremendous amount of work – not to mention all the prep involved ahead of time so you haven’t wasted your time and money.
On October 1st some brave women – including moi, who have paid for booths will rock up at the Sarnia Modern Womens Show at Hiawatha Park in Sarnia, ON, set up and spend the day doing meet and greet.
I decided to write a checklist on my sister site, DIY Biz Chicks, to prepare for this event.
Here’s the short list:
- What are my whys? Why am I going? Super important to know this.
- What’s your goal? What do you want to accomplish there?
Bo, yes me, over at DIY Biz Chicks says:
Knowing and remembering this will make not only your prep, but the entire experience easier. You can’t accomplish everything – so get specific.
- The old adage – ‘plan your work and work your plan’ definitely applies here
- Make sure everyone knows you’re attending
- Make your exhibit rock!
- Follow up.
